Ashok is a co-founder at Kadenze, Inc. and holds the position of Executive Chairman and Chairman of the Board. Prior to this Ashok was co-founder, Chairman & CEO at NetIDEAS, Inc. providing tools to companies from various industries to accelerate innovation, time‐to‐market, and revenue by collaboratively developing, managing and leveraging product‐related intellectual property throughout the enterprise. NetIDEAS, Inc. was acquired by PTC Inc. in 2013. Ashok co-founded DataEase International Inc. which was a disruptor in the desktop database market at that time and was one of the best selling database management systems worldwide. Ashok’s lengthy technology-related career spans large corporations like Electronic Data Systems, Raytheon Data Systems, and Gerber Systems Technology.

Ashok has an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi (IITD) and then his Masters in Electrical Engineering from University of Cincinnati.

Anant Bhalla is a Member of the Board at Kadenze, Inc. Anant has been instrumental in spinning off the Brighthouse Financial business from Metlife as an independent publicly listed company (NASDAQ: BHF) and raising capital from investors to establish Brighthouse's long term capital structure including a historic $3 billion debt IPO for a life insurance company. Brighthouse Financial, Inc. began trading at the Nasdaq exchange on August 7, 2017.

Anant has been Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Brighthouse Financial, Inc. since August 2016. Prior to that he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Metlife’s U.S. Retail business. In that capacity, he lead its strategic review within Metlife and business strategy execution that is now the core of Brighthouse Financial.

Prior to Metlife, he held senior positions at other various other financial services companies including: Senior Managing Director Strategy and CRO Global Consumer business at AIG; Chief Risk Officer and Treasurer at Lincoln Financial; and various roles across investments, finance and business at Ameriprise Financial. He was also instrumental in the 2005 spinoff of Ameriprise Financial (NYSE:AMP) from American Express.

Anant received a bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Madras in Chennai, India and an MBA from S.P. Jain Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai, India.

Perry Cook is a co-founder of Kadenze, Inc., is a member of the board and holds the position of Executive Vice President for Algorithms & Intellectual Property Strategy. Perry is a member of Smule’s Advisory Board. Perry is an American computer music researcher and professor emeritus of computer science and music at Princeton University. At Princeton, Perry founded and headed of the Princeton Sound Lab which conducted research in a variety of areas in computer music, including programming languages for audio and multimedia. Perry has worked in the areas of physical modeling, singing voice synthesis, principles of computer music controller design, audio analysis and real-time computer music programming languages and systems, and has written a number of books on these subjects. Perry is a Fellow of the Association for Computing Machinery and the Guggenheim Foundation.

Perry got his masters and doctorate in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and undergraduate degrees in Electrical Engineering and Music from University of Missouri in Kansas City.

Jordan Hochenbaum, Ph.D.

Jordan Hochenbaum is a co-founder at Kadenze, Inc. and holds the position of Chief Creative Officer and Vice President of Engineering. Jordan teaches creative coding, engineering, computational & generative graphics, and music production at the Music Technology and Digital Media programs at CalArts. His work involves leveraging machine learning in the arts, designing novel interfaces for musical performance, and playing and composing in a wide range of musical genres. Prior to founding Kadenze Jordan worked as a research scientist at Twitter, developed a large-scale multi-touch technology for Nokia Research Labs, co-authored a popular book on the Arduino microcontroller, and received the Leonardo Fellowship award.

Jordan received his Ph.D. from the Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand in 2013 where his research applied multimodal analysis and machine learning to the domain of musical performance.

Ajay received his interdisciplinary PhD in 2007 from University of Victoria in New Zealand where he combined computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, music and psychology with a focus on intelligent music systems and media technology. Ajay got his undergraduate degree in Computer Science from Princeton University in 2002. He has over a decade of experience building and maintaining software solutions for companies as large as IBM to Microsoft to the smallest of startups. At Kadenze, he leads a talented team of technologists to deliver quality features in a timely and iterative fashion. He and his team keep up with state of the art software development practices and focus heavily on continuous improvement to ensure they are delivering the best products they possibly can.

She is the President of the Jefferson Institute, a public policy institute that identifies and implements innovative approaches to current policy problems. Joan is also an exhibited painter and a songwriter and paints large, non-representational canvases left-handed and draws smaller, realistic works ambidextrously. Joan is a MacArthur Fellow with a network that spans a entire spectrum of policy areas.

She serves on the Board of Directors at the The National Institute for Play; She's started a program to revitalize New York's commercial theater; She is the President and Executive Director of the Jonas Salk Foundation. She has served as the Assistant Chief of Staff to Vice President George H. W. Bush and is the founding chair of the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy. She has worked with the U.N. Human Rights Commission and UNESCO's Division of Human Rights and Peace.

As an operating executive, his career includes building highly successful organizations, bringing businesses to scale, IPOs, and a multi-billion-dollar exit. Jim is passionate about entrepreneurship and helping to build successful enterprises around exciting market opportunities. Jim currently serves on a range corporate boards from innovative startups, to fast growth pre-IPO companies, to publicly traded companies. He is a Trustee at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) and co-chair of WPI’s initiative in innovation and entrepreneurship as well as a lecturer in entrepreneurship at MIT’s Sloan School. Jim recently served as President and CEO of data warehousing and analytics company, Netezza Corporation, leading the company through its IPO to acquisition by IBM - a transaction dubbed “the most disruptive acquisition of 2010” by Information Week. Before joining Netezza, Jim served at President and CEO of Endeca, a private company that was later acquired by Oracle. During his tenure at Endeca, an enterprise information management company, Jim grew the company from a startup to a leading provider of innovative information access and delivery software solutions.

He's a partner at Theorem Ventures, an internet and digital media focused private investment firm based in San Francisco. He sits on the boards and advisory boards of several innovative brands, including Smule.

He's also a founding partner at Employera, a management consulting firm operating at the intersection of employer branding, talent attraction and experience design. As well as co-architect of a SAAS analytics platform currently under development.

Previously, EVP and senior advisor to Grayling, an international PR consultancy based in London, and co-founder and EVP of award-winning agencies Atomic PR & H3O (both acquired) where he worked with startups and top global brands on strategy, messaging and positioning, planning and social media efforts. He was also co-architect of ComContext PR analytics software (acquired).

Before that, he was CTO and strategist at Shafer, an award-winning advertising, PR and interactive agency. As well as a systems integrator and technology consultant for Fortune 500 companies. He began his career in the US Air Force, working on efforts related to intelligence, and space.

In 2016 Brad completed thirty years of service with the Creative Industries Faculty at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Queensland, Australia. Brad has also, for forty years, been a drama teacher, speaker and researcher. Brad is known as a passionate advocate for the arts in Australian schools and served for more than a decade on committees concerned with the provision and delivery of the arts in Queensland schools. Brad served as Chair of the Community Partnerships Committee of the Australia Council and was actively involved with strategic priorities for the Arts in Education and Artist in Residence programs for Australian Schools and communities. In recent years he has been an invited keynote speaker and workshop leader in Singapore, Canada, Norway, The Netherlands and Austria. His work also takes him throughout the Pacific where he has taught and given workshops in the Solomon Islands, PNG and Kiribati in the Central Pacific.

Jay is the Executive Director of Real Industry, an education nonprofit that prepares its students to enter the technology industry by exposing them to leading tech companies’ practices. He is a lecturer in music technology and music business at Stanford University's Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics (CCRMA), and he advises digital media startups such as Chromatik, and LANDR. As an entrepreneur, Jay founded Imagine Research, an intelligent audio technology startup that built a search engine for sound. In 2012, iZotope acquired Imagine Research and Jay joined the iZotope executive team leading research & development, technology strategy, and intellectual property. Prior to creating Imagine Research, LeBoeuf was an engineer and researcher in the Advanced Technology Group at Avid Technology. There he led research that expanded the power of Pro Tools, the industry standard for digital audio workstations.
